💛💛💛 was talking w a friend abt how in wintery places it might make more sense to adapt ur habits and goals n rhythms to the seasons instead of trying to fight against them / think abt success the same way across all 4 seasons... this was beautiful!

I left NY as soon as I could, moved south and never left. My body had a physical reaction to those long gray weeks/months. Some people just run on solar energy. Beautiful drawings, beautiful writing! I love getting your emails. <3

I felt this way when I was living in Seattle. When spring would come and the sun would return I would feel my energy and mood lift, lift, lift. I would realize how low I had felt all winter. I live in Joshua Tree now and I don’t feel that winter-time low anymore.

Beautiful drawings and storytelling! ❤️ I was born and spent more than half my life near the equator line, where the seasons are nearly inexistent (always slightly too warm). Adapting to the lack of sunlight and the grayness of europe winters has been challenging. Five years later, it's becoming slightly easier. But just slightly...

Literally the thought process every year. This is the first one when I've accepted the winding down that winter brings, similar to what you wrote about us being animals and surrendering to the season. Such a lovely post! <3 Thank you for sharing.
